5/3/11 Santa Fe Springs, CA – Effective immediately, Vance & Hines is implementing a new Minimum Advertised Price policy requiring retailers to be in compliance with by July 1, 2011. This new policy allows dealers of Vance & Hines products to advertise any current Vance & Hines product, including exhaust, intake and electronics products at no more than 10% below the Manufacturer’s Suggested Retail Price.

Therefore, it is essential to promote a consistent pricing strategy,” stated Vance & Hines president Terry Vance. “We understand the investment it takes for dealers to provide excellent service to their customers, and by protecting the integrity of our brand, it is ultimately the dealers that will benefit from this policy.”
The new Vance & Hines MAP policy will apply to all advertisements appearing in print, radio, television and the Internet. In addition, it will be applicable to retailers selling new products on auction websites.
A special section of the Vance & Hines website will be dedicated to the administration of the policy, and will include a schedule of current retail pricing as well as providing retailers the ability to report advertising that does not conform to the policy.
