MORRISON, COLORADO (July 22, 2012) – Harley-Davidson® Screamin’ Eagle®/Vance & Hines riders Eddie Krawiec and Andrew Hines made it an all Harley-Davidson final round at the Mopar Mile-High NHRA Nationals in Denver Colorado.
Krawiec rode his Screamin’ Eagle Vance & Hines Harley-Davidson V-Rod to the win over his teammate Andrew Hines in the final when Hines red-lighted, automatically handing the win to Krawiec. This was the fourth win in four final-round appearances for Krawiec. It also marked the seventh time a Harley-Davidson® Screamin’ Eagle®/Vance & Hines bike was featured in the final round and the team’s seventh win this season.
‘We never expected it to go like this,” Krawiec said. ”this race shouldn’t have been ours this weekend. Not that you should always count yourself out, but we were a little down on ourselves as a team, we were struggling on Friday and Saturday. For us, we just dug hard and went after it.”
Hines had the quicker bike but he was anxious at the tree, fouling, as Eddie Krawiec went on to win the Pro Stock Motorcycle final with a 7.30 @182.28 mph.
Krawiec leads the Pro Stock Motorcycle championship points with 714 to second place, Andrew Hines’ 670.
Hines joined Krawiec as Countdown to the Championship qualifiers.
The next NHRA Pro Stock Motorcycle event is July 27-29 in Sonoma California at Infineon Raceway.
