2011 Vance & Hines Motocross Team

Santa Fe Springs, CA, January 11, 2011 – Building on a strong debut in motocross competition in 2010, Vance & Hines is pleased to announce it will be expanding its amateur motocross program to a two rider team for the 2011 season, with both riders competing on the Yamaha YZ250F and YZ450F in their respective classes.

Continuing with the team for his second season, rising star Preston Tilford will lead the Vance & Hines team, competing in the A/Pro Sport divisions. In 2010, Preston accomplished consistently solid results; including a 5th place in the 450 A class at the Loretta Lynn’s National Championship. Determined to improve upon last year’s performances, Preston will be looking to contend for titles at the key national events in 2011.

Vance & Hines is also pleased to introduce its second rider, 18-year old phenom Steven Tokarski, who will be competing in the B divisions for 2011. Steven showed impressive potential throughout last season, and now with the full support of the Vance & Hines team, Steven will have the best opportunity to show what he is capable of on the national stage.

“Having our A and B riders competing on 250’s and 450’s will build greater awareness of our brand at a grassroots level and allow us to showcase the competitiveness of our products at the forefront of the amateur motocross scene,” stated Josh Bulrice, Vance & Hines Team Manager. “We are extremely excited about having Preston and Steven as part of the team, and we are looking forward to big things from both of them this spring.”

From its inception over thirty years ago, racing has been the driving force of the Vance & Hines product line. Likewise, the Amateur Motocross Program is a critical element to the development of Vance & Hines off-road exhaust systems. In 2010, Vance & Hines introduced its new Dual Chamber technology for the Ti Pro exhaust system on the Yamaha YZ450F based on the team’s competition efforts at the racetrack.

The 2011 Vance & Hines motocross team will be kicking off the 2011 season on March 7, 2011 at the Millcreek Spring Classic in Pell City, Alabama. Stay in touch with all the latest team news and developments at vanceandhines.com and through Facebook at facebook.com/vanceandhines.
