2011 Spring Classic Amateur MX National

The Vance & Hines Amateur MX Team has just returned home from the 2011 Thor Spring Classic Amateur National at Mill Creek MX, Alabama. Mill Creek played a great host to the new home of the Spring Classic.  Arriving on Sunday the V&H team was greeted with freezing conditions and rain.  The entire state experienced torrential rain and flash flooding the majority of the week. Racing finally got underway on Thursday and the Vance & Hines riders fought their way through the tough track conditions.

Leading the charge for the V&H team was Steven Tokarski. New to the team this year, Steven is a top contender in the B class, which is thought by many to be the most competitive class at the amateur level. Steven had a great week bringing home a national title in the Collegeboy class as well as two additional 3rd place finishes in the 250 B and 450 B classes.

V&H team rider Preston Tilford, battled through some adversity in the beginning of the week with the tough track conditions. As the track began to improve Preston was able to put down solid second motos.  For the week, he took home 3 top ten finishes in the A class.
